About the event
This voice workshop will give you practical tools for working on text, or practicing for that big audition; so, the next time you get that dreaded note on clarity, rushing, or mumbling, you have a set of exercises to draw from.
The session will start with a vocal warm up to get you grounded in your body and voice, and comfortable in the space. Participants will be invited to perform a short monologue to the group that they would like to work on. You will then be led through a series of voice exercises designed to work on clarity, articulation, speed, and bringing the text to life; rooted in the work of Cicely Berry, Barbara Houseman, David Carey, Patsy Rodenburg, and Rosie’s own postgraduate research on Clarity, Accent Bias, and Authenticity.
